Reinsurance leadership team changes at Axa XL
More changes have been announced within Axa XL’s reinsurance leadership team as part of a simplification of the reinsurance organisational structure.
Among the new changes, Paul Simons will become head of Bermuda Reinsurance, along with his current role as head of property, Global Markets. He has been appointed to Axa XL’s reinsurance leadership team. That team is led by Charles Cooper, chief executive, Reinsurance.
The Global Markets business will comprise Axa XL Reinsurance’s Bermuda and London platforms, and as previously announced it will be led by Rob Littlemore, who is currently chief executive, London Reinsurance.
In other changes, John Welch will become chief executive, Domestic Markets, while Christopher Buse will become chief operating officer of Axa XL Reinsurance North America. Meanwhile, Marcus Gonzales will become head of London Reinsurance.
In addition, both Mr Buse and Mr Gonzales will join Mr Simons as part of Axa XL’s reinsurance leadership team.
The changes will becomes effective from January 1.
