Termini to lead Hamilton’s new environmental insurance unit
Hamilton Insurance Group has entered the environmental insurance market.
John Termini, who joined Hamilton from Markel last month, will lead the new unit as US head of environmental, the company said today.
Mr Termini has been focused on building out his team, developing the book of business, leveraging the company's Lloyd's platform, with the long-term goal of providing a broad range of innovative product offerings to lead the market, Hamilton said.
Pina Albo, Hamilton’s chief executive officer, said: “It's a great time for Hamilton to enter this line, and I'm delighted to welcome John to our team.
“I know his extensive experience and expertise will be invaluable as we enter this class of business and, on the heels of our recent mergers and acquisitions division launch, continue to build out our US specialty insurance offerings."
Mr Termini was previously with Markel Specialty Insurance Company, where he was managing director, environmental and energy, responsible for the management, direction, and profitability of the national environmental and energy liability product lines.
