Ascot Bermuda’s $50,000 donation helps 20 charities
Bermudian-based re/insurer Ascot Bermuda Ltd has donated $50,000 to 20 local charitable organisations as an employee-led holiday giving initiative.
Joe Roberts, group chief financial officer, said: ”Employees were asked to nominate the local charity of their choice for a contribution in lieu of the annual holiday party. In addition, the company selected the four charities that garnered the most employee nominations for an additional financial gift.
“We are pleased to provide our support for charities doing outstanding work assisting our community by helping those most at risk and aligning Ascot’s support with the interests and philanthropic efforts of our Bermuda-based staff.”
Mr Roberts added: “We are proud of our staff and grateful to them for supporting so many great causes this holiday season. It has been an extremely challenging year for the community and we at Ascot extend our sincere gratitude to the community organisations in Bermuda working so tirelessly through it all to help those in need.”
