Prominent firms from Bermuda’s international re/insurance community are participating in Dive In, the insurance industry festival promoting diversity and inclusion, September 21 to 23.

A hybrid format to the event - themed ‘Active Allyship’ - makes the festival accessible to attendees from all over the world, both virtually and in-person, for the purpose of highlighting the need to create and empower diverse and inclusive allies of action.

Events are taking place in more than 30 countries, after 30,000 participants last year for the international Festival for Diversity and Inclusion in Insurance.

Event chairwoman for Bermuda Deshay Caines commented: “The theme of active allyship is more important than ever. The past few years have seen major breakthroughs on diversity and inclusion and have spurred many important conversations.

“But this year’s Festival will focus on acting on these conversations and standing up for what is right, allowing us to accelerate the pace of change.

“After the ground-breaking global success of last year’s virtual Dive In, we look forward to embracing this year’s hybrid format and welcoming attendees from all around the world for a programme of insightful and interesting events.”

The organisation said local festival partners include Willis, Axis, Expertise, Sompo, Abir, Chubb, Arch, AIG, and RenRe.
