Growth continues in long-term sector, says Biltir
North End Re has joined the Bermuda International Long Term Insurers and Reinsurers industry body.
Biltir said North End Re, a subsidiary of Brookfield Asset Management Reinsurance Partners Ltd which provides capital-based solutions to insurance and reinsurance companies and their stakeholders, becomes the 63rd company to join the organisation.
Biltir, which this year celebrates its 10th anniversary, represents long-term insurance, reinsurance and servicing companies in Bermuda who provide life and annuity products and employ more than 600 people on the island.
Greg McConnie, chief executive officer of North End Re, said: “We look forward to working with the association and its various members and stakeholders to help grow and advocate for Bermuda’s life and annuity industry.
“As a member of Biltir, we are pleased to be in a position to help educate stakeholders and promote Bermuda’s life and annuity industry through community service and job creation.”
Biltir chairwoman Sylvia Oliveira said: “We are delighted to welcome North End Re to Biltir and look forward to benefiting from their expertise and industry insights.

Biltir was created to serve as a formal association representing the long-term insurers and reinsurers in Bermuda.
It is a public policy advocate, supporting industry interests in regulatory, government and tax matters.
