Axis Capital dividend

The board of directors of Bermuda-based Axis Capital Holdings Limited has declared a quarterly dividend of 42 cents per common share.
The dividend is payable on October 15 to shareholders of record at the close of business on October 4.
The board also declared a dividend of $34.375 per Series E 5.50 per cent preferred share (equivalent to $0.34375 per depositary share), also payable on October 15 to shareholders of record at the close of business on October 4.
Axis Capital, through its operating subsidiaries, is a global provider of specialty lines insurance and treaty reinsurance with shareholders' equity of $5.4 billion at June 30, and locations in Bermuda, the United States, Europe, Singapore and Canada.
