MS Amlin grows agriculture business
MS Amlin AG, the Switzerland-domiciled global reinsurer with an underwriting office in Bermuda, has entered the agriculture reinsurance market with the hiring of Rinat Bektleuov as product group lead underwriter.
Mr Bektleuov joined the business in August and reports directly to Charles Goldie, chief underwriting officer.
The agriculture reinsurance offering will be available globally and coverage includes five core products: crop insurance, livestock insurance, aquacultural insurance, forestry and weather index products.
The company said the launch comes as part of MS AAG’s wider global diversification strategy, with Mr Bektleuov leading the new offering, while based in Zurich.
He joins from PartnerRe, where he specialised in agriculture re/insurance over the course of almost 20 years at the business.
For the past five years, Mr Bektleuov held the position of Head Agriculture Worldwide and was responsible for developing and leading agriculture business lines, managing multiple global teams.
