Underwriting specialist joins Mosaic
Specialist underwriter Tom Dilley has joined Mosaic Insurance, the Bermudian-based global specialty insurer, to lead the company’s global financial institutions division.
Mr Dilley, who will be based in London, has been appointed SVP, head of financial institutions, taking overall responsibility for the unit launched and guided by Chris Brown through the company’s first year.
Mosaic said Mr Brown will now focus entirely on his leadership role driving Mosaic’s syndicated capital programme, working closely with a growing number of commercial partners to provide capacity to clients in specialty lines around the world.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Tom to Mosaic and our financial institutions division,” Mr Brown said.
“He is widely recognised and respected as a lead underwriter in this class of business and we’re pleased he will lead our FI team and accelerate the development of this portfolio.
“I look forward to working in tandem with him, along with all our product leaders, to build Mosaic’s syndicated capital management partnerships.”
The company said Mr Dilley has more than 16 years’ experience in the global financial institutions market.
Previously, he oversaw the UK FI sphere at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance. He also spent 12 years with Ace (now Chubb), latterly overseeing the product line in the UK and Ireland.
Mr Dilley said: “I’m delighted to be joining the talented team at Mosaic and excited for the opportunity we have to build lasting relationships with our clients and broking partners.
“We offer flexible, innovative product solutions while retaining high levels of service and a stellar claims offering, which is particularly crucial, given the economic and political volatility facing our clients.”
