The Lloyd’s market has appointed Dawn Miller as its commercial director reporting into Lloyd’s chief of markets, Patrick Tiernan.

Ms Miller joins from Chubb where she currently holds the position of regional executive officer for Chubb Central Region (Switzerland, Turkey and Middle East North Africa), and is also the country president for Switzerland.

She will take up the new position at Lloyd’s in the second quarter of the year and will be based in London.

In her new role, Ms Miller will oversee Lloyd’s global network across the Americas, Europe, Asia-Pacific and Middle East and Africa and will be responsible for distribution, market development, global engagement with brokers and new entrants.

She will also be responsible for innovation at Lloyd’s, including the Lloyd’s Lab.

Ms Miller has more than 20 years of experience working in the global insurance industry with oversight of underwriting, distribution, clients, and strategy, including leadership positions at AXA, AIG and Willis.

Having started her career in Washington DC, she has since taken on senior positions in London, New York, Paris, Dubai, San Francisco and Zurich.
