Networking event for women in reinsurance
Women in Reinsurance, the professional organisation for women working in the reinsurance sector, is to hold the first event of its 2022 education series tomorrow – a panel focused on strategies for building and influencing professional relationships.
The Network – Building and Influencing Professional Relationships will feature Catherine R. Duffy, country manager (Bermuda), AIG; Saadia Savory, vice-president, casualty manager, Aspen Bermuda Limited; and Leah J M Dean, founder, Conduit International and author of Assemble the Tribe.
The moderator is Ashley M Hunter, founder of A. Hunter & Company.
The panel will take place at the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club from 2pm until 5pm and will consist of a welcome meet-and-greet session, panel discussion and breakout sessions with individual panellists.
“Career development is a key priority for our members. WiRe is pleased to offer The Network as the first of three events in 2022 focused on personal development to maximise career growth,” said Peta White, chairwoman of WiRe.
Leone Charles, head of WiRe’s events committee, said: “Professional networking is a critical component of career development in the reinsurance industry. Despite the many advances in technology used to support decision making, trusted relationships will always be a key driver of business success.
“The Network event is designed to support women professionals in developing the skills to engage with new colleagues confidently; proactively expand their professional network; and develop productive business relationships.
“WiRe is excited to have such a dynamic group of women leading the discussion and participants will have the opportunity for close conversation during the breakout sessions. This is an opportunity not to be missed.”
While the panel is being held for members, WiRe recognises that the topic will be of interest to a wider group and has opened a limited number of spaces for this learning and networking opportunity on a first-come, first-served basis.
The cost is $65 and includes light afternoon tea.
