Athene celebrates new office space
Athene Life Re Ltd made official their new office space recently on the second floor of Washington House in Hamilton.
It was the culmination of plans that began in 2020 to create a modern and more spacious office for the expanding firm.
Mike Downing, EVP, chief operating officer and chief actuary at Athene, said: “It has been great seeing our business and our office grow. We are excited about the new space, its added amenities and the opportunities to continue growing our team and business while fulfilling our commitment to being a good corporate citizen within the Bermuda community.”
The offices have adjustable desks for a more productive workspace, phone booths to allow business calls to be made with privacy in the office and larger meeting rooms and cubicles allowing for a more collaborative work environment.
The new office has a capacity of 125 people, more than twice that of the previous office.
“Athene believes in the power of collaboration,” said Natasha Scotland Courcy, SVP, general counsel, and chief operating officer at Athene Life Re Ltd.
“When developing the new office space, it was important that our employees have more space to meet and work in partnership.”
