Joe Stuhl joins Everest Re
Everest Reinsurance, the reinsurance division of Everest Re Group Ltd, has continued to grow its network, with Joe Stuhl joining the company as senior vice-president of global distribution.
In this newly created role, Mr Stuhl will report to Anthony Izzo, global head of facultative and distribution at Everest Reinsurance.
He will lead the reinsurance organisation’s global distribution strategy. That will include a responsibility for deepening relationships and engagement with brokers and cedants and proactively identifying and addressing emerging needs to optimise the customer experience.
Mr Izzo said: “Joe is an outstanding addition to the global distribution team. He is highly regarded in the industry with a deep relationship network and proven record of driving transformational broker distribution strategies.
“I look forward to partnering with Joe as we continue to enhance our growing global distribution network. Joe’s experience and leadership will support all aspects of Everest’s distribution – from strategy and marketing to driving best-in-class customer solutions.”
Mr Stuhl brings more than 25 years of experience with a proven track record of delivering superior client service and transformational growth strategies at global reinsurance companies, the company said.
Most recently, he served as an executive vice-president and broker executive at Munich Re US, where he oversaw all aspects of broker relationship management.
Before joining Munich Re, he was a senior vice-president and casualty team leader with American Re.
He also served as a vice-president and New York branch manager at XL Re, where he managed the company’s largest and most profitable facultative branch and began his reinsurance career in casualty underwriting with Swiss Re.
