New Aspen Bermuda office for Chris Lee
Aspen Insurance Holdings Limited has appointed Chris Lee as chief operating officer of the Bermuda company Aspen Capital Markets, the alternative reinsurance arm of Aspen Capital Partners.
Mr Lee’s Bermuda role will include responsibility for driving strategic investments in technology and change to support the continued growth of Aspen Capital Markets. The company said he will work in close partnership with Aspen’s operations and technology teams to implement best practices in processes, systems and data to further enhance the Aspen Capital Markets value proposition.
Mr Lee arrives from Hiscox Re & ILS, where he initially led the firm’s data and insights strategy as head of insight before assuming the role of COO.

Mr Lee added: “I am excited to be joining Aspen Capital Markets at such an exciting part of its journey, and I look forward to working with Brian and the team to realise Aspen’s ambitions.”
Aspen provides reinsurance and insurance coverage to clients in various domestic and global markets through wholly owned subsidiaries and offices in Australia, Bermuda, Canada, Singapore, Switzerland, Britain and the United States.
For the year ended December 31, 2021, Aspen reported $13.8 billion in total assets, $7.6 billion in gross reserves, $2.8 billion in total shareholders’ equity and $3.9 billion in gross written premiums.
