MS Re positions for future growth with senior appointments
MS Reinsurance, the Swiss global reinsurer with underwriting offices in Bermuda and three other cities, intends to innovate the business by enhancing operations.
To do that the company is appointing four senior leaders to the office in Zurich, Switzerland.
Benedikt Schmid moves from Axis Re to become the new MS chief information and data officer reporting to CEO Robert Wiest. He will lead the implementation of MS Reinsurance’s IT strategy, aimed at improving the use of data and technology.
Coming in from Partner Re was Susanne Gnädinger as chief transformation officer. She is spearheading the recently rebranded business’s modernisation journey.
Also from Axis Re, Marcus Pollak has joined as head of underwriting operations in a newly created role, leading the underwriting operations team and supporting a wide range of products and processes globally, across various geographies.
In from Swiss Re, starting in March, is Stefan Behr who will be the head of EMEA group clients, international casualty and engineering for MS Reinsurance.
Mr Wiest commented: “Our future success at MS Reinsurance will be defined by our ability to expand our customer-centric approach and provide our valued partners with bespoke, innovative, and efficient solutions.
“I am delighted to welcome Benedikt, Susanne, Marcus, and Stefan to MS Reinsurance. All four join our growing team as we embark on our next chapter.
“We are committed to investing in our people and with more than 75 years of specialist experience, collectively, we are excited about the expertise they bring to the MS Reinsurance team.”
