Ariel Re, a global reinsurance business with offices in Bermuda, London and Hong Kong, has promoted 12 staff in the London and Bermuda offices.

The promotions cover a range of roles from underwriting and accounting through to analytics and portfolio management.

The company said it was part of its drive to be an “academy firm” where leading reinsurance professionals can develop their careers.

Head of human resources Lindsay Hyland said: “When we redeveloped our culture in 2021, our vision was for Ariel Re to be the preferred destination for talented reinsurance professionals worldwide.”

She said: “We want to be known as an ‘academy firm’ — a place where the best in the industry work and come to enhance their knowledge and careers.

“I am delighted that we are fulfilling this mission by giving a well-deserved promotion to some of the wonderfully talented staff we have in the company.”
