Jenny Kane has joined the executive team of Aspida Life Re Ltd, the Bermudian-based life and annuity reinsurance company, as deputy chief operations officer.

Ms Kane has more than two decades of industry experience and has spent more than a decade in the Bermuda market.

She brings extensive expertise in operations and risk management to the broader Aspida Re team and its clients, the company said.

Ms Kane will be focused on ensuring that operational controls are followed, optimised, and integrated into Aspida Re’s enterprise risk management framework.

“We’re very pleased to add a professional of Jenny’s calibre to our team,” said Aspida Re chief executive David Florian.

“Based on her extensive leadership experience in the Bermuda market, combined with her achievements in the banking and the broader financial services industry, Jenny will be an invaluable asset as we continue to expand our global presence and deliver tailored solutions to our clients.”

Ms Kane served as the global head of operational risk, group operating officer asset management and chief administration officer at Butterfield Bank from 2016 until 2022.

She was the global head of projects and initiatives, head of operations, at Mitsubishi UFJ Fund Services from 2012 until 2016.
