Women in Reinsurance, the professional organisation for women working in Bermuda’s reinsurance sector, will continue its 15th anniversary programme of events by hosting the first ever Life and Annuity Education Forum on Wednesday.

The long-term re/insurance sector is a key pillar of Bermuda’s financial services economy with over $600 billion of assets under management and more than 500 local employees.

WiRe said it will draw on the talents of three industry stalwarts who will share their expertise: Natasha Scotland Courcy, CEO of Athene Life Re Ltd., Amy Ponnampalam, CEO of Athora Life Re Ltd, and Kirsty Greenlees-Watson, head of Reinsurance Operations at Resolution Re Ltd.

The panel will be moderated by WiRe Events Committee member, Caitlin Gordon, director of Client Management & Marketing at Athene Life Re Ltd.

Leone Charles, WiRe Events Committee Lead, said: “WiRe is pleased to contribute to increased awareness of the long-term sector in Bermuda. The presence of life & annuity companies has grown significantly over the last decade. We want to ensure members have the opportunity to be informed about current trends and prepare for opportunities on the horizon.”

Athene is hosting the forum and Guy Carpenter, WiRe Gold Partner, continues their ongoing support.
