Bermudian-based Aspen Insurance Holdings Limited has appointed Robert Tartaglia to the newly created position of SVP, chief operations officer, Insurance, starting on July 3.

The company said Mr Tartaglia has more than 20 years of complex global operations, IT, and transformation experience in insurance and reinsurance, including global COO at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty, chief broking COO at Aon, and various senior operations and technology roles at AIG.

He was most recently operational strategy and growth leader at AIG, where he led transformation initiatives around organisational design, operational effectiveness, and technology implementation for the company’s high net worth division.

In his new role, Mr Tartaglia will lead Aspen’s transformation efforts across insurance operations, with a particular focus on driving process, data and systems excellence to support our commercial and business strategy.
