CG Insurance adds to mental health certification
A new platinum level is being added to the existing three levels of the Bermuda Mental Health Foundation’s Mindful Employer Certification through the foundation’s collaboration with CG Insurance.
The programme supports companies that prioritise mental health in the workplace, giving employers a way to demonstrate their commitment to staff mental wellness through a grading system, certificates and badges.
Employers are assessed using standards aimed at fostering a mentally healthy workplace, using bronze, silver, gold and now platinum gradings.
Naz Farrow, chief executive, CG Insurance said: "We believe that true wellness encompasses not just physical fitness but also mental wellbeing. By partnering to provide mental health services through CG’s Zest Wellness Program, we aim to prioritise the holistic health of our participants.
“Mental health is the foundation upon which a person's overall wellbeing is built. We recognise the importance of addressing mental health challenges and providing the necessary support, resources and guidance.”
“Through this partnership, we are committed to fostering a culture of compassion, understanding and resilience, empowering individuals to thrive in all aspects of their lives. Together, we can break the stigma surrounding mental health and create a community that embraces and supports the mental wellbeing of every individual."
BMHF chairman James MacDonald said the CG partnership promotes and supports mental health, and gives employers tools and resources to foster a mentally healthy workplace for their employees.
The CG component requires at least 10 per cent of managers to complete CG’s six-week Mindful Leader Training Programme.
It supports developing resilience, wellbeing, work-life balance and reducing stress in work and life. Mindfulness develops focus and awareness, greater ability to respond rather than react in the present moment and healthier ways of engaging in challenging experiences.
