Talcott Re opens office with charity donation
Talcott Re has marked the official opening of its office at 30 Woodbourne Avenue in Pembroke with a donation to charity.
The company, part of the Talcott Financial Group, held a ribbon-cutting ceremony, hosted by Talcott leadership, to mark the opening of the nearly 10,000-square-foot office, on the corner of Woodbourne Avenue and Pitts Bay Road.
Sheelagh Cooper, chairwoman of Habitat for Humanity, accepted a charitable donation in the amount of $30,000 from the company to support Habitat’s work in creating a residential treatment centre for Mid-Atlantic Wellness Institute long-term mental health patients.
Talcott Re’s leadership embraced the opportunity to create a custom space for their employees in the new office.
Since the company’s establishment in 2021, Talcott Re has grown from two employees to more than 30 staff.
Jason Hayward, the Minister of Economy and Labour, addressed attendees at the ceremony.
Overlooking Hamilton Harbour, the office features multiple conference rooms and offices, a 30-seat boardroom, and other spaces ideal for privacy and small team collaboration. It has open lounge areas, a wellness room, a spacious work café, and views of Barr’s Bay Park.
Talcott Re leadership partnered with Bermudian artist Chris Duperreault to decorate the office with artwork centred around the island’s ocean life, and with Designers Commercial Interiors Group, which served as the lead designer for the space.
A company statement said its Bermuda location enables Talcott Financial Group to offer flexibility to counterparties seeking solutions to their risk management needs.
It said the Talcott team can solve complex business challenges with innovative, bespoke structures delivered with speed, clarity and reliability.
