Zyhun Robinson claims Biltir scholarship
The Bermuda International Long Term Insurers and Reinsurers $30,000 scholarship has been awarded to Bermudian student Zyhun Robinson in his pursuit of a career in the Bermuda life re/insurance industry.
The scholarship is administered through the Association of Bermuda International Companies Education Awards Programme.
The former Berkeley Institute student is studying for a BSc in mathematics at West Virginia University and is due to complete his undergraduate degree in 2024.
The scholarship winner thanked Biltir and Abic for choosing him to receive the prestigious award, noting: “This scholarship will ensure that I am able to maximise my educational experience while simultaneously reducing the financial burden that is incurred during my studies.
“I am grateful to be the 2023 recipient for this scholarship and to Biltir for investing in my future.”
Biltir executive director Christine Patton said: “Biltir is committed to offer continued support to talented young Bermudians who are interested in joining our sector.
“Biltir is delighted to be able support Zyhun as he continues his studies to begin his journey into a career within the life re/insurance industry in Bermuda.”
The Biltir scholarship is open to Bermudian students with an interest in the life insurance sector who are taking part in the Biltir Intern Programme and who are studying mathematics, insurance, actuarial, accounting or law.
Biltir represents the life insurance and reinsurance sector in Bermuda.
