BMA registers four new insurers

The Bermuda Monetary Authority confirmed the registration of four insurers in July.
The BMA has registered 37 insurers and four intermediaries to date this year.
The BMA registered Mackinlay Insurance Limited in Class 1, Crescent Insurance Limited in Class 2, Ivy Peak Co-Invest Re Limited as a Class E insurer, and Radnor Re 2023-1 Ltd as a Restricted SPI.
Five insurance applications were reviewed in July by the Insurance Assessment and Licensing Committee, comprising of four new applications and one carried forward application, all of which were approved.
The BMA noted that the registration/licensing of approved insurance entities is issued after the IALC application process and may be confirmed in future periods.
