Axa XL appoints Glen Hopkinson
Bermudian-based Axa XL has appointed Glen Hopkinson as the new country manager for Canada.
Mr Hopkinson, who has served as the interim boss in recent months, assumes leadership of the company's insurance operations in the country.
Axa XL said Mr Hopkinson is a seasoned claims expert who has been at the company for more than ten years.
He has held various leadership roles including head of claims in Canada, transformation programme director and, most recently, head of casualty claims for the Americas.
Based in Toronto, he will oversee the company’s other regional offices in Calgary, Montreal and Vancouver.
The company said he will also work closely with the Americas executive leadership to ensure strategic alignment and seamless service to local and multinational clients.
