Walkers Bermuda has welcomed four new professionals, Trevor Goulet, Shannon Cann, Devon Luca and Elijah Pear.

“Trevor, Shannon, Devon and Elijah bring valuable expertise to our team, strengthening our capabilities in insurance, disputes and regulatory law,” Walkers said. “We are confident that their contributions will further enhance our client service and cement our position as leaders in the Bermuda market.”

The firm said Trevor Goulet, known for his excellence in insurance disputes, added a strategic dimension to their practice.

“His litigation experience, particularly in insurance and reinsurance disputes, will be invaluable in serving our clients’ needs,” a spokesman said.

Walkers said Devon Luca, also joining the disputes team, is an experienced advocate who regularly represents large, multinational corporations in court, before regulators, and in arbitrations.

“She enjoys a large breadth of experience across multiple practice areas and regularly advises clients on contested merger transactions, takeover bids, and schemes of arrangement, shareholder litigation, dissent proceedings, contractual disputes, and negligence claims,” the spokesman said.

Shannon Cann, a seasoned Bermuda insurance lawyer, brings a wealth of experience in corporate insurance transactions, providing clients with wide-ranging legal advice in the insurance and reinsurance sectors.

Walkers said her extensive knowledge in insurance-linked securities and capital markets transactions will be a valuable asset.

The hope was that Elijah Pear, a dedicated regulatory lawyer, would strengthen their regulatory capabilities.

“His in-depth understanding of insurance regulatory matters aligns perfectly with Walkers’ commitment to providing holistic solutions to clients,” Walkers said.

Bermuda managing partner Kevin Taylor said: “These additions underscore our dedication to offering top-of-class legal services in Bermuda. As we continue to expand our Bermuda practices, we remain committed to providing exceptional client service.”
