Sompo International, the Bermudian-based global provider of commercial and consumer property and casualty (re)insurance, has appointed Redouane El Oulhani as head of distribution and client relationship management, Insurance, for France.

He will be based in Paris. The company is in the process of establishing insurance operations in France, subject to required regulatory notifications.

Marilyn Faugas, country manager, Insurance, France said: “Sompo International is a growing organisation with ambitious goals globally and within Continental Europe.

“Having the right distribution and client relationship management infrastructure will be a key part of that growth strategy in France and Redouane is the ideal candidate to lead this area.

“He will have responsibility for building strong and productive working partnerships with brokers and clients alike. I’m delighted to have him on board.”

Mr El Oulhani joins Sompo International from Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty, where he spent the past 15 years, most recently as head of sales for France, MEA, Greece and Turkey.
