BMA registers one insurer in September

The Bermuda Monetary Authority confirmed the registration of one insurer in September, taking the yearly total to 40.
Four intermediaries have also been registered.
The BMA confirmed the registration of Home Re 2023-1 Ltd in the Restricted SPI category.
Eight insurance applications were reviewed in September by the Insurance Assessment and Licensing Committee, comprising seven new applications and one carried-forward application.
Four were approved, three were deferred and one was withdrawn.
The BMA noted that the registration/licensing of approved insurance entities is issued after the IALC application process and may be confirmed in future periods.
