Bermudian-based Concert Insurance Group has promoted Alison Davidsen to the newly created role of chief operating officer.

Ms Davidsen, who joined Concert in July 2022 as vice-president, client management and operations, will report to chief executive John Hendrickson.

“Alison has demonstrated an impressive ability to balance strategy as well as execution in supporting Concert’s commitment to operational excellence,” Mr Hendrickson said. “Working closely with our managing general agent and third-party administrator partners, she has overseen a successful enterprise-wide initiative that ensures our partners’ experience with Concert is an exemplary one.”

He said her promotion was representative of the industry talent that Concert continued to attract as they executed their plan for profitable growth and development in the fronting sector.

Ms Davidsen has 25 years’ experience in the property and casualty insurance industry, particularly in the speciality programme sector. Before she joined Concert, she held various management and consulting roles focused on business transformation and operational efficiency.

She began her career at QBE Insurance, where she was responsible for the management of the policy administration, claims and accounting systems used to support QBE’s programme business.

She later joined Hudson Insurance Group, a Fairfax company, where she created and managed their programme submission review, due diligence and onboarding processes.
