Miller appoints Chris Board
Industry veteran Chris Board has joined the reinsurance team of Miller, the specialist broker.
Mr Board will initially be based in Bermuda, with plans to join the London office in 2024.
He was most recently at Conduit Re, where he was head of international property and short tail specialty.
Miller said Mr Board had more than 20 years of reinsurance experience covering both property and specialty lines in London, Zurich, Miami and Bermuda.
He has also worked at Apollo Syndicate and MS Amlin, where he specialised in international property and specialty.
The broker said Mr Board’s appointment was part of Miller’s strategic reinsurance build out and followed a number of hires this year across London, Bermuda and APAC.
He will report to Charlie Simpson, head of Bermuda.
Mr Simpson said: “Chris will be a key part of Miller’s focused reinsurance expansion. Our ability to attract talent such as Chris is testament to the increasing relevance of our offering.
“His deep knowledge of the market, long-standing relationships and extensive experience will contribute significantly to our future success.”
Mr Board added: “It’s an exciting time for Miller and I am pleased to become part of a business with so much opportunity ahead.
“I have been impressed by Miller’s approach within the reinsurance market, matching its wider reputation for both service and bespoke, specialist, solutions.
“I look forward to utilising my experience to support Miller’s broadening range of clients as well as the firm’s wider growth plans.”
