The Bermuda Monetary Authority registered three new insurers in January.

The BMA approved Catalina Re Archdale Life Insurance Company Ltd in Class E, Arrowhead Insurance Ltd in Class A and Winston Re Ltd in the Restricted SPI category.

Five insurance applications were reviewed in January by the Insurance Assessment and Licensing Committee, comprising four new applications and one carried forward application.

All five applications were approved by the committee.

The BMA noted that the registration/licensing of approved insurance entities is issued after the IALC application process and may be confirmed in future periods.
