Teneo appoints Andrew Shailer to top role
Advisory firm Teneo has selected Andrew Shailer as the new managing director and Nathan Bickley-May as the director of their financial advisory business in Bermuda, pending immigration approval.
“Mr Shailer has a proven track record of extracting value from complex and distressed situations,” Teneo said. “He has worked across many sectors, with a focus on reinsurance and funds.”
Mr Bickley-May is a JIEB-qualified insolvency practitioner with over 15 years of experience advising businesses of varying sizes and complexities across a range of sectors, including the digital asset sector.
“Nathan strives to provide a hands-on, solution-focused approach to his clients and stakeholders,” Teneo said.
These promotions follow the hire of Mark Allitt from KPMG in Bermuda as a senior managing director late last year.
Mr Allitt’s arena has been reinsurance consulting for both P & C and life insurers within Bermuda and internationally.
“The promotions of Andrew and Nathan, as well as Mark joining us, demonstrates the strength and depth of our Bermuda team and our ambition to be the leading financial advisory business on the island, particularly in the insurance and reinsurance sectors,” said Charlie Thresh, Teneo senior managing director and head of financial advisory.
Mike Morrison, senior managing director and co-chair international financial centres, said Teneo was investing in its people throughout the IFCs and across all relevant financial advisory disciplines.
“We serve key sectors throughout the IFCs, while providing local clients with access to Teneo’s global capabilities across financial advisory, people advisory, consulting and strategy and communications,” Mr Morrison said.
