Insurance giant Chubb has come on board as partner to Bermuda’s efforts at RIMS next month at the San Diego Convention Centre in California.

The Bermuda Business Development Agency said that in partnership with Chubb, it was proud to host the annual Bermuda Reception at RISKWORLD 2024, the annual conference of RIMS, the world’s largest risk management community, in San Diego.

The Bermuda Reception will be held on on the evening of May 7 at the Sparks Gallery on Sixth Avenue, where hundreds of guests will enjoy networking, Bermuda entertainment, and the chance to win a weekend getaway to Bermuda for two.

Kendaree Burgess, COO, BDA, said: “As the world’s risk capital, the BDA is proud to continue Bermuda’s tradition of having a presence at RIMS’ annual conference.

“The BDA thanks our valued partners, including Chubb, who came on board as our platinum sponsor.

“The location of RIMS 2024, in California, is important to Bermuda as a number of the industries the BDA focuses on, such as tech, insurance and reinsurance, are domiciled there.

“Our presence there will give us an opportunity to look beyond the traditional insurance sector and into ways to diversify our local economy.”

“The BDA also wishes to thank our airline partner, BermudAir, our hotel partner, Hamilton Princess & Beach Club, and our spirits partner, Goslings.”
