BMA registers three insurers

The Bermuda Monetary Authority confirmed the registration of three insurers in May, taking the yearly total to 24.
The island’s financial services regulator has also registered four intermediaries.
The BMA registered Puerto Rico Parametric Re Ltd in the Restricted SPI category, GA Iris Re Ltd in Class E, and Bo Wang Re (Bermuda) Ltd in the IGB category.
Eight insurance applications were reviewed in May by the Insurance Assessment and Licensing Committee, all of which were approved.
The BMA noted that the registration/licensing of approved insurance entities is issued after the IALC application process and may be confirmed in future periods.
