Fortitude Re earns certification as a great place to work

Bermudian-based Fortitude Re has received great place to work certification by Great Place to Work, the global authority on workplace culture and employee experience.

“Our people are our greatest asset and we’ve been very deliberate about fostering a culture defined by trust, transparency, innovation and collaboration,” said CEO Alon Neches.

“This recognition underscores our commitment of supporting the personal and professional growth of our colleagues and cultivating an inclusive workplace where everyone feels respected and valued.”

The certification is based on results of a trust index survey administered by the Great Place to Work Institute, which assesses employee satisfaction in key areas, from credibility and respect to fairness and camaraderie.

The company said highlights from the survey results include:

• 95 per cent of employees said management is honest and ethical in its business practices

• 89 per cent of employees are proud to tell others they work at Fortitude Re

• 87 per cent of employees feel that they make a difference at Fortitude Re

• 88 per cent of employees said that people care about each other at Fortitude Re

• 85 per cent of employees stated they’re offered training or development to further themselves professionally

• 93 per cent of employees said when they joined Fortitude Re, they were made to feel welcome

• 95 per cent of employees stated that they are treated fairly regardless of race, gender, age or sexual orientation

• 88 per cent of employees said they feel good about the ways Fortitude Re contributes to the community

"Great Place to Work certification is a highly coveted achievement that requires consistent and intentional dedication to the overall employee experience," says Sarah Lewis-Kulin, the vice president of Global Recognition at Great Place To Work.

“By successfully earning this recognition, it is evident that Fortitude Re stands out as one of the top companies to work for, providing a great workplace environment for its employees."

According to Great Place To Work research, job seekers are 4½ times more likely to find a great boss at a certified great workplace.

Additionally, it said, employees at certified workplaces are 93 per cent more likely to look forward to coming to work, and are twice as likely to be paid fairly, earn a fair share of the company’s profits and have a fair chance at promotion.
