Axis’ rapid response for cyber-hit policyholders
Axis Capital Holdings Limited has launched Axis Cyber Incident Commander, an after-incident help service for US-based, cyber insurance customers.
With a focus on speed of response, policyholders hit with a cyber incident have a single point of contact to access immediate guidance from experienced cyber experts.
“By providing streamlined, rapid access to the services customers need in a cyber incident, Axis Cyber Incident Commander aims to help get businesses back up and running more quickly, minimise the impact of the incident, and reduce the stress in what can be a complex and unnerving process,” said David Shluger, head of Cyber Risk Advisory at Axis.
Services available through Incident Commander include legal counsel, digital forensics, incident response, and crisis and reputational management.
These are provided by Axis-approved, trusted third-party vendors that already work closely with the Axis Cyber Risk Advisory and Cyber Claims team in supporting customers towards a recovery after an incident.
Available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, Incident Commander’s complementary, rapid triage and support services can be accessed by e-mail or phone.
The service is available from the moment an incident occurs and throughout the process, until the point where the case can be seamlessly transferred to the Cyber Claims team to manage the onward claims process.
As part of Axis Cyber Risk Advisory, Incident Commander will be led by Nicholas P.R. Steinmann.
With a background in digital forensics and incident response, Mr Steinmann joined AXIS in May 2024 and is based in New York.
Lori Bailey, head of Global Cyber & Technology at Axis, added: “Elevating understanding of cyber threats and how to strengthen defences against them is at the heart of what we do within Axis Cyber Risk Advisory.
“The launch of Incident Commander, and the appointment of Nick to our team, enables us to expand the risk advisory solutions we provide to help businesses prepare, protect, and respond to cyber-risks amid an evolving cyber-risk landscape.”
