Conan Ward joins Solis Re

Bermuda market veteran Conan Ward has been named interim chief executive at Florida-based Solis Re.
Mr Ward succeeds company founder Andy Downey, who died this month at the age of 58.
The interim CEO has a strong Bermuda connection.
He was executive vice-president, Global Reinsurance, at Axis Capital from 2001 to 2006, chief underwriting officer and then chief executive at Validus Re from 2006 to 2012, CEO of Hamilton USA from 2013 to 2015, and chairman, US Specialty and Bermuda, Willis Re, from 2017 to 2019.
