Xander Butcher joins SiriusPoint

Insurance industry veteran Xander Butcher has joined the London Energy team of SiriusPoint Ltd, the Bermudian-headquartered global specialty insurer and reinsurer, as senior underwriter, Energy Liabilities.
John Hopper, head of Energy, said: “With over 37 years of experience in the market, Xander will be a brilliant addition to the Energy team. I look forward to seeing him make his mark at SiriusPoint and support the strategic growth of our Energy business line.”
Mr Butcher most recently served as head of International Energy Liability at Starr Insurance Companies.
His previous employers include Canopius Group, AmTrust at Lloyd’s, and AIG.
