Property and specialty insurer and reinsurer IQUW has announced the appointment of Peter Hearn as an independent non-executive director to the IQUW Holdings Bermuda board.

The company said Mr Hearn is widely recognised as a visionary leader and has over four decades of experience in the global insurance and reinsurance broker sector, including various senior leadership roles, most recently as Marsh McLennan vice-chairman and chief executive of Guy Carpenter & Company LLC.

His appointment follows the addition of Ed Noonan, former chairman and chief executive of Validus Holdings, who joined the IQUW board last year.

The company said: “Together, Hearn and Noonan represent two of the most influential figures in the industry, further strengthening IQUW’s expertise by offering a diverse range of perspectives on market dynamics and client needs. Their counsel will be instrumental as IQUW adapts to the evolving risk landscape, providing an additional view on the company’s strategic direction.”

Mr Hearn said: “I am honoured to join the board and work alongside Kevin Kelley, Bob Deutsch, Ed Noonan and other members of this talented team.

“The industry is undergoing rapid change. I look forward to contributing my experience and collaborating with the leadership team to help drive the company’s vision and deliver value to clients and stakeholders.”
