Arch appoints Peter Brooks

Arch Insurance International has promoted Peter Brooks to the position of global head of Fine Art & Specie.

Mr Brooks will be responsible for managing Arch’s London Market Fine Art & Specie insurance portfolio and working across all of Arch Insurance’s underwriting platforms to expand its global presence in the sector.

Arch Insurance International is part of Bermudian-based Arch Capital Group Ltd and includes Arch Insurance UK and the P&C insurance operations of Arch Insurance (EU) dac, as well as Arch’s insurance operations in Bermuda, Europe, and Australia.

Based in London, Mr Brooks reports to James Croome, active underwriter Syndicate 2012 and head of Cargo & Specie.

Most recently, Mr Brooks was a senior underwriter, Fine Art & Specie at Arch, having joined the company in 2020.

The company said he has considerable experience in the specialist sector, having previously held underwriting roles at Liberty Specialty Markets and W/R/B Underwriting.

Mr Croome said: “Peter is a highly respected figure in the Fine Art & Specie market and his promotion to this newly created role is well deserved.

“He will play a leading role in driving our growth as we continue to enhance our relevance and value proposition to our broker partners in this vibrant and dynamic market sector.”
