AI dominates upcoming audit conference

Artificial intelligence will be the focus of a tech conference hosted jointly by the Information Systems Audit and Control Association and Institute of Internal Audit Bermuda Chapter at the Royal Hamilton Amateur Dinghy Club on November 7.

Sessions will delve into the transformative impact of AI on organisational decision-making, the evolving landscape of compliance and the modern workforce. Attendees will also explore the critical role of AI in cybersecurity and the ethical and governance considerations necessary for the responsible use of intelligent systems.

Kerr Kennedy, marketing director of the Isaca Bermuda Chapter, said this year’s conference would provide an opportunity to explore the most pressing issues in the tech field.

“We will focus on how AI is changing cybersecurity, the importance of AI ethics and governance, and how these will impact the future workforce,” he said. “Our goal is to help professionals lead their organisations through these changes.”

Stephanie du Coudray, the vice-president of IIA Bermuda Chapter, said the conference would be an opportunity for networking and building connections with peers and industry leaders. Registrationis now open and spaces are limited.

Attendees will have the opportunity to earn up to eight Continuing Professional Education credits, enhancing their professional development and maintaining their certifications.
