Ascot has appointed Anthony Mandica to the post of group head of Internal Audit.

Mr Mandica will continue to be based in the company’s Iselin, New Jersey office, with a dual reporting line to the Ascot Group Ltd audit committee and to Michael Sevi, Ascot Group general counsel.

In this newly created role, Mr Mandica will lead Ascot’s Group Internal Audit function, building upon the internal audit framework put in place by the company’s existing leadership team.

Mr Sevi said: “Anthony possesses an extensive knowledge of industry regulatory requirements, a unique understanding of Ascot’s internal controls, and a track record of effectively managing risk.

“I am so pleased to elevate him to this role, where he is poised to effectively develop an IA model that scales with Ascot’s growth. His work in this role will be integral to reinforcing our culture of integrity and to strengthening the internal audit function, Ascot's critical third line of defence.”

The company said Mr Mandica has more than 20 years of experience in internal and external audit roles across financial services and insurance firms.

He joined Ascot in 2022 as senior vice-president, Internal Audit & Advisory.
