Arch Insurance has appointed a senior casualty underwriter to bolster its operation in France.

Rachida Laazaouzi joins Arch Insurance (EU) dac, which provides specialist property and casualty insurance solutions within the European Union.

Based in Paris, she is responsible for growing Arch’s casualty portfolio in France, writing primary, umbrella and excess liability cover across a broad range of sectors including industrial, manufacturing and rail.

Ms Laazaouzi joins from CNA Hardy Insurance where she was a senior casualty underwriter. Before that, she held underwriting roles at Swiss Re Corporate Solutions and Zurich.

Arch Insurance (EU) dac is a wholly owned subsidiary of Bermudian-based Arch Capital Group Ltd.
