Bermudian-based Oceanview Reinsurance Ltd has appointed Muhamed Majeed as chief actuary.

The company said he will oversee Oceanview Re’s actuarial functions, including product development, pricing strategies and risk management.

With over 15 years of experience in insurance and reinsurance, Oceanview Re said Mr Majeed brings deep expertise in actuarial science, product innovation and financial modelling.

“His proven track record in product development, pricing optimisation, and regulatory compliance will be invaluable as we continue to expand our reinsurance solutions and serve our global client base.”

Mr Majeed joins Oceanview from Securian Canada, where he served as assistant vice-president, product and pricing and led a team of actuaries responsible for developing and pricing new products while managing a diverse portfolio of insurance products.
