Bermuda Captive Conference releases agenda for June event
The Bermuda Captive Conference returns to its customary June calendar slot this year, attracting industry leaders, captive owners, risk managers and service providers to explore the evolving role of captives in a complex risk environment.
Now in its 21st year, the conference — held last year in September — is set for June 9 to 11 at the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club with the theme “Re-imagining Risk: The Next Frontier”.
A conference spokeswoman said: “With the event’s return to June, it is shaping up to be a sell-out event. Interest in this year’s conference has surged, with early registrations signalling one of the strongest turnouts in recent history. For those still considering attending, a limited number of early-bird tickets remain, but they are moving quickly.”
Organisers said the thoughtfully curated agenda will delve into emerging challenges, disruptive innovations and regulatory shifts that are shaping the next frontier of captive insurance. The line-up includes industry insights, engaging panel discussions, and real-world case studies from experts at the forefront of the industry.
Séadna Kirwan, Bermuda Captive Conference chairman and managing director at Aon Bermuda, said: “The Bermuda Captive Conference has always been more than just an industry event — it’s a forum for meaningful discussions that drive the evolution of captive insurance.
“This year, we’re embracing the theme of ‘reimagining risk’ to explore how captives can adapt to economic pressures, climate risks and the latest technological disruptions.”
Organisers said the three-day conference will feature a diverse range of sessions, including expanded Captive 101 sessions on Monday afternoon, a deep dive into Bermuda’s status as the jurisdiction of choice, a forward-looking discussion on economic crossroads and market volatility, and an exploration of how captives can leverage artificial intelligence and parametric solutions to close the protection gap.
With additional fireside chats, deep-dive panels, and exclusive networking opportunities, organisers said the event is set to provide critical insights for industry professionals navigating an increasingly complex global risk environment.
