Marvin Pestcoe is appointed to board of Employers Holdings
Bermuda market veteran Marvin Pestcoe has been appointed to the board of directors of Nevada-based Employers Holdings Inc.
Mr Pestcoe retired from Bermudian-based Langhorne Re, a global reinsurer of life and annuity portfolios, after serving as its executive chairman and chief executive from January 2019 until April 2021. He continued to serve on the board of Langhorne Re until March 2023.
Prior to joining Langhorne Re, Mr Pestcoe held a variety of executive positions at Bermudian-based PartnerRe from 2001 until 2017, and at Swiss Re New Markets from 1997 until 2001.
He now serves on the board of Bermudian-based Hamilton Insurance Group Ltd, where he is the chairman of the underwriting committee, and a member of the audit and investment committees.
Mr Pestcoe also sits on the board of Catalina Holdings (Bermuda) Ltd.
He is a fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
