Giacomo Mariani will be running Everest’s insurance business in Italy after it opened its Milan office in November.

Mr Mariani has extensive Italian market expertise and his deep insurance industry experience spans senior leadership and broker management roles at prominent global insurance organisations. Most recently, he served as deputy head of strategic teams at Aon, where he led and managed broking for high-profile Italian corporate and public entity clients.

He will report to José Ramón Morales, head of Southern Europe, who said: “Giacomo’s proven leadership, strong relationships, and deep understanding of the Italian market will be instrumental to enhancing our insurance operations in Italy.

“Italy’s rapidly evolving market presents significant demand for innovative insurance solutions. With Giacomo at the helm, we are well-positioned to seize this opportunity and deliver the high-quality service the market deserves.”
