A joint initiative between local business associations aims to engage career shifters and highlight the value of international business in Bermuda.

The International Business is Everybody’s Business campaign has been launched by the Association of Bermuda International Companies, the Association of Bermuda Insurers and Reinsurers, the Bermuda Bankers Association, Bermuda Business Development Agency, and the Bermuda International Long-Term Insurers and Reinsurers.

This joint effort aims to raise awareness of the vast career opportunities within Bermuda’s international business sectors, underscore the vital contributions of international companies to Bermuda, and build understanding within the local community about what international business is and its role in Bermuda’s economy.

Abir chief executive officer John Huff said: “Our goal is to create a deeper, ongoing connection with all Bermudians, so the benefits and opportunities of international business are clear all year, not just one week.”

He said more Bermudians work in international business now than anytime in the island’s history.

“By working together to raise IB awareness and maintain global competitiveness, Bermuda’s best days are ahead,” Mr Huff said.
