this week but no-one in the church hierarchy could say on what day he will be arriving.

AME Bishop the Rt. Rev. Phillip Cousin will attend an annual district conference on Friday and Saturday.

AME presiding elder the Rev. Malcolm Eve said that in addition to normal church business, Bishop Cousin will be looking into all matters pertaining to the conviction of the Rev. Trevor Woolridge for sexual assault.

But when pressed for the specific date of the Bishop's arrival, Mr. Eve said:"I don't know when he is coming but he is not on the island yet.'' Mr. Woolridge has been on administrative leave for some weeks from his duties at Mount Zion AME Church in Southampton.

Meanwhile, Bishop Cousin will also preside over the official opening of the newly renovated Matilda Smith Williams Senior Residence on Thursday.

The property, which is jointly owned and operated by the 11 AME churches, has undergone $2.1 million worth of renovations and houses 22 senior citizens.
