OBITUARY

June A. Burrowes

June A. Burrowes (nee Davis), formerly of England and Bermuda, found eternal peace on Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010, in Brookfield, Wisconsin. June was born in 1921 in Brighton, England, and lived in Oxford until conscripted into the Royal Army during the Second World War. After the war, she earned her teaching certificate at Worcester Training College and, in 1954, sailed for Bermuda to take a teaching position at Dellwood School. An avid fan of the theatre, she became active in the Bermuda Music and Dramatic Society. She met and married Sydney Burrowes and, in 1966, they moved to the US with their three children.

June was the beloved mother of Alison (John) Olsen, Stephen (Sandra) Burrowes and Karen (Ken) Reichert. She is survived by her children, 10 grandchildren, nieces, a nephew, other relatives and friends. A memorial service was held on November 6 at St. Bartholomew Episcopal Church, N27-W24000 Paul Court, Pewaukee, Wisconsin 53072.
