Have you ever had a dream that you wanted to become your reality? Are you currently setting goals to accomplish the dream? There are many who have aspirations and goals that they want to achieve. You can accomplish your God-given talents and gifts beyond all the difficulties and challenges you face.Doing what you love makes a huge difference rather than doing something that others think you should do or doing it only for what you can get out of it. Stories that I’ve read of inspiring people like Colonel Sanders, Walt Disney, Mandisa Hundley and many more never allowed their difficulty to stop them from living their dreams.There will be obstacles and struggles, but we must not give up on the things we are called to by God. When we pursue God we are tapping into everything we need. He will show us what to do and which way to go. We must be willing to listen to God’s voice for our instructions. He will never lead us astray, but the Lord will bring those things He desires for us to be into place.Pursuing GodWhen getting excited about the passion burning within you, it’s easy to get entangled in pursuing everything about the passion, but forgetting to pursue the giver. Are we taking the time out to take our passions before God and asking God what He will have us to do? Are we asking God what does He want to speak to us? Do we take the time out to go after Him with our hearts?Hosea 6:3 “Let us know, Let us pursue the knowledge of the Lord. His going forth is established as the morning; He will come to us like the rain, Like the latter and former rain to the earth.” (NKJV)Listening to God’s voiceWhat is God saying? How can we hear Him clearly? Sometimes there is too much clutter hindering us from listening to God’s voice. In every relationship in order to hear someone we have to take time out to listen. The noise and constant movement often leaves us drained and then we wonder why our ears are not in tuned to what God is saying. Other voices will surely come to distract and discourage, we must allow God’s voice to be the loudest in our ears and to be our map and guide.Experiencing the painKnow and remember that with every God-given dream and passion you will experience pain. It’s in the pain we often discover the treasure. Your pain will not be in vain, but will be used to bring about the purpose inside of you. The layers are being peeled of bit by bit and what is in waiting will be revealed for God’s glory!Walking in the small beginningsIt may not be sparkling and glamorous, but life is not all of that in reality. We have to humble ourselves in wherever God has us. While walking in our small beginnings we must rejoice, learn and develop. Each step we take brings us closer and closer to those things He has placed in our hearts.
