Christian Scientist healer to deliver lecture today

Speaker: Nate Frederick of the Christian Science church

A Christian Science lecturer and healer will deliver a speech on “Learn to Pray and Heal (A Spiritual Adventure)” to members of the Christian Science Society of Bermuda today.

Nate Frederick, who is based in Boston, will give the CSS’s annual free lecture today at 1 pm, at 6 Dundonald Street.

A statement said Mr Frederick studied perennial religion at Hampshire College where he was introduced to Christian Science healing.

It added: “Although he was enamoured with the academic exploration of spirituality, what he truly desired most was to practice spirituality in a tangible way — he wanted to experience God and heal others.”

Mr Frederick started working for The First Church of Christ, Scientist in 2008 and has since served in many capacities for the church as well as being widely involved in composing, producing and performing Christian music.

Mr Frederick said: “Without comparison, my greatest love, my greatest joy— my mission — is to transform lives and heal the sick through Christianly Scientific prayer.”

The Christian Science Society holds church services each Sunday at 11am, at 6 Dundonald Street, Hamilton. For more information, and if interested in attending, please call 332-6030.
